Sony Playstation Network disaster

If you play Test Drive Unlimited 2 on the PS3, then last week you may have experienced an outage on the Playstation network. And up until today, it was only an outage. But now we know that it was a bit more serious than that. Today, Sony admitted that ‘external intruders’ on the 20th of April accessed the information of all playstation netowork users. This includes; names, logins, addresses, security questions as well as a possibility of credit card information.

Should you be worried? Well with upwards of over 75million users affected, it’s highly unlikely that you in particular will be affected, however do you want to risk it? Perhaps ask your bank for advice.

It is still unclear as to who performed the attack, but currently the finger seems to be pointing at The Anonymous Group, even though they completely deny the attack – they’re hardly going to admit it though are they!
