Evidence for Dubai being a new island

Okay, before the clever clogs tell me – I know Dubai is a city – but the title seamed appropriate, perhaps area would have been more so though. Anyway, lets get to the point, we could be seeing another area for us to cruise in – Dubai. Whether it will come as a DLC or even as TDU3 we don’t know, or even it it will ever come. However when it comes or if it even comes the word ‘Dubai’ is flying about in the code, so there is definitely something up! What’s the evidence you ask, well here it is:

So, what does all this mean then? Well, I’m not that code savvy, but it must have meaning. It would suggest to me that there is currently or has been at some point a possibility of Atari introducing another area – Dubai. This would make sense, considering the fact that there is an airport, so that we could travel to multiple destinations as opposed to just the two we have at the moment. This could also suggest that it is in this area there will be races for the classes that we don’t have at the moment i.e. C1 & 2 and B1 & 2.
However – don’t get your hopes up. As well as there being a possibility that there will be a new island, it is also just as likely, if not more likely that we won’t. With all the problems Atari have had with the game they may just want to get the game to an acceptable standard and stop development, that includes Dubai. It is also possible that it is redundant code left in by accident so it’s meaning is nil.
However, let’s hope it does come, I think it would add an incredibly exciting extension to the game. I’d even be happy to pay for it!

Tbh your a bit slow to only notice this now… References to Dubai have been in the game files since launch.
Also i doubt its a reference just left in. There have been more references to Dubai in the new patch, but whether or not they will actually release it is anyones guess… it took them 2 weeks extra just to give us the free dlc which was ready by the 19th of april. They will need to get there act together if they want people to stay around.

@Weegill Yeah, I am sure it has, but it’s the first time I’ve heard anything about it. Still, it’s exciting news to me! It would be nice – as others have said to recreate the Top Gear Bugatti vs McLaren race!
